Decibels Explained

It is often difficult to understand just how quiet or loud a generator is just by reading its decibel output on the specifications table. The graph and video below should help you put this into context.

Our average frame type generator sits at 68 Decibels - louder than a dishwasher but quieter than traffic or an alarm clock. Our Inverters are even quieter! Starting at 53 Decibels they are louder than rainfall but quieter than a typical conversation!

LWA95 corresponds to 70dB(A) at 7m from the noise source.
72dB(A) at 7m from the noise source corresponds to LWA97.
